Shareholders
EIBIR’s shareholder organisations underline the importance of multi-disciplinarity in biomedical imaging research.

Shareholder organisations are represented at the General Meeting of EIBIR, where major strategic decisions are taken and recommendations are developed for EIBIR’s joint initiatives. They are invited to nominate a representative to the EIBIR Scientific Advisory Board.

CIRSE
The Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe promotes the exchange of  ideas and information and provides training to physicians and scientists in the field of Interventional Radiology and cardiovascular imaging techniques.

The European Coordination Committee of the Radiological, Electromedical and Healthcare IT Industry with headquarters in Brussels, is a non-profit trade association representing the medical technology industry in Europe.

EANM
The European Association of Nuclear Medicine, is the umbrella organisation of nuclear medicine in Europe and represents the sector towards the European Institutions.

EFOMP
The European Federation of Organisations in Medical Physics, currently has 34 national organisations and three affiliated national organisations which together represent more than 5000 physicists and engineers in the field of Medical Physics.

EORTC
The European Organisation for research and Treatment of Cancer with headquarters located in Brussels, promotes multidisciplinary cancer research in Europe and was founded 1962.

ESMRMB
The European Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine and Biology, was founded in 1984 as a platform for clinicians, physicists and basic scientists with an interest in the field of MR.

Currently, negotiations are underway with the European Society for the promotion of Picture Archiving and Communication Systems in Medicine (EuroPACS).
